photobucket contests
I have been using Photobucket for years to store some of the projects I did for my previous clients and the other photos I currently use on my different sites. Storing images are for free. This is a form of back-up in case one hosting encounters a problem, the photos are still up and can still be used by other sites. This is also helpful if the images are being used on different sites. Sharing is easy. Even embedding codes are easy because the codes are just to be copied and paste.
As I was uploading some of the pictures today, I noticed the word COMPETITION in bold letter on Photobucket’s main page. So I thought of sharing it here.
If you are one of the photographers or hobbyist who wants to improve on his craft, joining competitions is one way of honing your skills, I believe. The feedback you receive whether good or bad will definitely help.
Do not forget to read the rules of the contests when joining. Some photography competitions have restriction on residency so it is best to read first.
There are other regular photography contests that don’t even require a purchase or entry fee to join so go out and join, if you have time to snap some pictures. Checkout the photography competitions at Photobucket. Else, try its free service. It gives you freedom to choose whether to make your photos public or private and allows you to organize your photos into albums, tag, and provide descriptions.

What: Sony World Photography Awards 2012
Entry Start: 1st June 2011
Entry Close: 4th January 2012
Three more weeks to go before the submission of entries closes. With all the celebration this Christmas season and some may have lots of vacation, it’s the best time to shoot, submit and win the big prizes from Sony.
I’ve almost forgotten this one but I received an email reminding me that I have 3 weeks more to submit my entries. Wha’s good about this competition is that there are no entry fees and even non-paying members can enter the competition. If you want to have more entries and more chances of winning, then become a paying member considering that you might win $5,000.00 or $25,000. That’s a lot of money to buy more gears and accessories for [y]our photography activities
