Photography Competition: Imagine Cup Sponsored by Microsoft

Microsoft encourages young people to apply their  imagination, passion and creativity to technology innovations that can make a difference in the world. Now on its 6th year, Imagine Cup has emerged as a truly global competition focused on finding solutions to real world issues.

One of the events for Imagine is the photography competition. This year, students are invited “to capture a series of still photos that tell a story and draws an emotional response from their audience. The photo essay should provoke thought and discussion and inspire the audience to take further action to create a sustainable environment. “

Photo essay is the collection of images that tell a story, illustrate a concept, or present a theme. Music, sound effects, and fancy graphics are not esential.

Requirements:

  • maximum length: 1024 pixels
  • 72 ppi
  • File format: JPEG
  • Color Space: sRGB
  • maximum no  of photographs: 10
  • maximum file size: 5MB

Submission deadline:

  • May 2nd, 2008 for first round entries. There will be no extensions and late entries will not be accepted.
