Photography Competition: Expose Your World Competition
Details:
- Entering is easy. Simply read the ‘Expose Your World’ competition entry requirements.
- Entry forms and payment must be completed online. Go to the Entry Form page and follow the links. Online entries require online payment using credit card or paypal. You will be issued with a payment confirmation by email.
- Entry to the photography and writing categories are to be submitted online only.
- Entries into the Video/Multimedia category must be submitted on disk and sent to: RovingEye ‘Expose Your World’, Locked Bag 2000/117 Surry Hills, NSW, 2010, Australia. Please enclose a copy of the confirmation email sent to you upon online payment. Clearly mark your name and contact details on all disks and application forms.
- Images must be high resolution digital JPEG files saved as Adobe RGB 1998 supplied on disk. No image may be less than 6 megapixels in size and all images must be fully captioned and labelled correctly. JPEG image entries are accepted only in accordance with the procedures mentioned above. Please see captioning tips here
- Multiple entries for all categories are accepted, except for the Young Australian Travel Photographer category, which has a limit of 10 entries per person.
- The closing date for all entries is 25th July, 2008.
- Mailed entries will only be accepted if they arrive on or before the closing date, 25th July, 2008.

- Single shot (open category). $A20.00 per entry. No limit on entries
- Young Australian Photographer of the Year (aged 21 or under). FREE. Limit 10 entries

TRAVEL WRITING:
- Less than 1,200 words (open category) $A20.00 per entry. No limit on entries

Australian Adventurer of the Year - by nomination only
- RovingEye and Outer Edge magazine are seeking Australia’s intrepid explorers for 2008.
- Nominations for the inaugural Australian Adventurer of the Year should be able to paint a picture in words or photos of their recent adventure, an adventure which has pushed the boundaries of travel in its concept or execution. So if you’re an intrepid explorer, or you know someone who is, enter now, or nominate them. The winner will walk away with a hand-picked explorer’s package from Anaconda worth $2000, courtesy of Outer Edge Magazine.
Finalists for each category will receive some or all of the following
FINALISTS:
- Finalists will be published in the beautifully presented coffeetable books and each finalist will receive a copy. These top quality books are produced by ASUKABOOK and are used to promote RovingEye’s contributors at International trade fairs throughout the world. A selection of the finalists’ works will feature in the Australian Traveller magazine.
- Each finalist’s photo essay will be printed by Pixel Perfect Prolab and feature in an exciting exhibition to be held in Sydney. Finalists will be invited to attend the opening night, along with VIP sponsors, RovingEye clients and special guests. The exhibition will subsequently be on display at the 2009 Photo Imaging Expo in Sydney where 10,000+ photo industry professionals will visit.
- Join RovingEye. Retain copyright. Sell your images! All competition entrants whose work is at the RovingEye standard will be accepted as contributing photographers. Their work will be actively promoted and sold around the world and they will be on the list for commissioned work.
