Looking for unwatermarked high resolution images? If you have a hard time finding one then try to search for wallpapers. Recently, I found many wallpaper galleries offering free use of their images. These images do not have watermark or copyright notices imprinted on them and are free to use.
Searching for the term “wallpapers”, Google yield 171,000,000 results. The first 2 results alone include the term “free wallpapers” and ‘wallpaper free download”. Like any other subject, topic or images, wallpapers are sorted into different categories: Absract, Nature, Sexy, Celebrities, Sports, Technology, Business, Cartoons, Sceneries, Flowers and Animals.

Available wallpapers do not only come as static images. Some of them are offered in dynamic or animated forms and used as screensavers. With such big number and variety to choose from, you will surely find that high resolution images appropriate for your project.
Just a note though, be sure to check the terms of usage for the wallpaper that you like. Although there are many free wallpapers, some of them have conditions before they can be use.

My SP500UZ Olympus camera default setting is at 2816 x 2112 pixels. Most of the time, the pictures are taken from events and seminars. I can take hundreds of random pictures as long as my 2 sets of batteries permit. But then, I find it time consuming to resize the pictures to be suitable for emailing or posting on blogs for others to see.
Another issue and very time-consuming when managing the images is renaming to be easily identifiable. (I was renaming my files before through a DOS program REN or RENAME). So, I just digitally archive the images unretouched and unedited.
Naturally, I searched for program to simplify such tedious work but maybe, I was searching for the wrong term. Some of the programs I encountered can do batch resizing but can only resize a maximum of 100 x 100 pixels. Then, renaming should be done manually.
